As my visit to Dubai comes to an end, I went the the headquarters of the NGO Emirates Environmental Group where I met Habiba Al Mar’ashi Chairperson of EEG.

 

I have some of my eco design paintings at the headquarters on Jumeirah Road and it was a delight to see work which I haven’t seen in almost a decade installed here at this special place.

Al Mar’ashi spoke of how the paintings and their interpretation were used as part of  workshops held at Emirates Environmental Group headquarters, responses were wideranging and positive she said.    

 

The EEG, operating since 1991, is considered to be one of the most active environmental NGOs in the region. I was delighted to have a good chat with the impressive Al Mar’ashi learning more about EEG’s educational programmes, waste management and corporate awareness.
