We had an interesting event on Oct 19^th 2024 celebrating work made during the Summer, the event was held at the ‘giant guitar’ at Xishan Forest Music Valley on the western hills of Bejiing .  It was great to work with the Creative Writing Team at Renmin University of China， Tree stories #87 – #90 are from RUC- CW Mount West Series. They emerge from a special collaboration between Xi Shan (Western Hills of Beijing ) and Renmin University Creative Writing team and the World Literature Centre .

Stories focussed on the Xishan area where historical French figures used to live . These stories are told in French Spanish English and Chinese . A special thank you to curator Chen Lijun  and the students and academic staff Tingting Hu of RUC Creative Writing Team .

These stories were screened upstairs in the Giant Guitar, a Mulberry Tree with origami leaves held QR codes for these stories and other stories on video from The Memory Palace of Tree Stories.

The one day event was held in the giant guitar house known as Xishan Music Valley on October 19^th. Where academic discussions,  poetry and writings were shared alongside the work of Nobel laureate St- John Perse who had stayed in the area a century ago,   the life of Dr Bussière was also discussed..

This event was part of Sino French Cultural Forum Haidian Series .
